Five on Friday || How is it already JUNE?

ONE|Mississippi

Over the weekend Jack and I hustled down {approx. 19 hors round trip} to Pascagoula, Mississippi to celebrate the nuptials of our dear friends Drew and Madalyn. Although the ride was long we got to spend some quality time together. The wedding was beautiful and I will never forget the toast from Drew’s brother, Tanner. I guess I’m a sucker for wise words.

TWO| T.SWIFT

Monday night Jack took me to Taylor Swift’s 1989 Tour and going to the concert has been one of my most favorite gifts… Like EVER!!! As soon as she got on stage to kick the night off with “Welcome to New York” I got chills all over my body…literally. Taylor’s talent is simply amazing the way that she commands the entire stage and arena all the while making the concert feel so intimate. Our seats were great, the music was great, and spending #NationalBestFriendsDay with Taylor Swift {&JG} was something from my “Wildest Dreams”.

THREE|Carib

The bliss of vacationing in St. Martin is still on my mind… I am super ready to travel again. JG insta-tagged me in this picture of Woody + Carib earlier this week and I cannot wait to find this beer for sale in CLT… anybody know of a place who sells it?

FOUR| AIR Social

Last night I attend the June AIR Social event and had a great time meeting new people and trying new products from Charlotte Based companies. Garrett Tichy, the face of WeLoveCLT spoke about what drives him to love Charlotte and the people who live here. There was food from Fit You Meals and Roots Hummus, drinks with Three Hunters Vodka and D9 Brewing Company, shopping with Fresh Boutique and Pearl- Dentistry Reimagined. AIR Socials happen once a month on the second Thursday of the month, so come out and join me for July’s event!

Meet Sara. I have the pleasure of getting to see Sara and talking with her almost every day. She shares her passion of fitness, food, beauty, fashion, and the outdoors over at Oats and Rows. She loves sharing her experiences and adventures from her point of view as she explores her new city, here in beautiful Charlotte. ONE|Secret’s Out 

TOMORROW morning Jack’s family and I head down to Saint Martin! I am super excited and am looking forward to clear blue water, skies, and some well-deserved rest and relaxation. Cheers to a fun vacation!!

TWO|Perfume

Last night at Nordstrom Sara introduced me to what could be my next {expensive} obsession, Jo Malone. I took home a sample of the Peony & Blush Suede Cologne and am going to try it out for the next few weeks. Anyone have a good suggestion out of the many scents that they love? Suggestions needed.

THREE|B-Cycle

I found this photo of me and my bestie, Alyssa, when she visited Charlotte in April. We had such a fun time renting bikes and riding them all around town. This is going to be one of my favorite activities to do this summer.

Tuesday and Friday 6am class has become tough this past week. Between the 4/5^ths week and the longer summer days I cannot seem to drag myself out of bed. Soon, the SouthPark studio will open up, but until then they are offering FREE classes. Sign up for free community classes here.

June 8^th cannot {until after my relaxing time in SXM} come soon enough because… I am going to Taylor Swift: The 1989 World Tour !!!  I am suppppper stoked! I have been looking forward to this for a really long time and cannot believe the time has almost come. From her outfits, to sets, to live music I cannot wait!! #WelcometoChalrlotte

Five on Friday | 1.23.15

ONE | Seahawks vs. Packers

Sunday, the Green Bay Packers (22) lost a hard fought battle to the Seattle Seahawks (28).  Jack and I watched the game with a group of friends and one of them is a die-hard packers fan. With about 5 minutes left to go in the game and the Packers were up by 12 points. We were all giving our friend a hard time because there was about a 13% chance {via online stats} that the Packers would lose. Well the Packers did end up losing. My friends and I just booked our trip to BHI for a nice long relaxing weekend in May and I cannot wait!! Hello spring/summer!

This weekend I am heading back to Raleigh, NC to celebrate my dad’s birthday. I am excited to spend some quality time with my dad and relax after this long week.

Welcome to New York

Today I left Charlotte on a 6 am flight heading for NYC ... need I say more?

My Tips for this awful early flight {besides the Starbucks & Chick-fil-a}

1. Jamming to Taylor Swift's "Welcome to New York". 

2. Live Updates: Prince William and Kate during their NEW YORK CITY tour {planning where I am going to catch a glimpse}.

3. CARRIE UNDERWOOD's celebration of her Decade #1 Album Release Party today at the iHeartRadio Theater in NYC. The show will also be broadcasted on a jumbo screen in Time Square. {hoping to run into her too!}

4. Lunch @ Shake Shack. ALWAYS a must!

5. Getting to see the Saks Fifth Avenue Christmas Light Show + all the other wonderful Christmas windows & decoration!!! Check out the 2013 show below. It was even more amazing in person last year & I cannot wait to see the 2014 show!

Five on BLACK Friday | In a Snowglobe

Hello Friends! I have been blessed with my Friday starting on Wednesday just like many of you who have Thanksgiving and Friday off from work. Although it was a short work week it seemed like I had a few hiccups before Vacation mode. Monday morning I woke to having car troubles and my car had to go to the shop. Thankfully though, I have wonderful friends who were able to tote me around until my car was fixed--- just in time for me to pack it and head to Snowshoe. I made it safely and it has been snowing ever since I arrived.

A little peek into my week...

ONE: I'll admit I am completely obsessed with Taylor Swift. Did you see her performance of "Blank Space" at the 2014 AMA's? Ahhhmazing-- per usual.

TWO: My drive up to Snowshoe was clear the entire way until the last few miles of the drive--it had begun to snow!! The entrance to our condo buildings was so pretty as I pulled in.  It was beautiful to see my first snow so early in the season even though it was MIDNIGHT when I finally made it! Mom and dad rolled in around 3am and we moved a new refrigerator into the condo. After a long night it was finally bedtime at 4:30 am!

THREE: Have you ever had one of the gourmet cupcakes from Gigi's? I had never tried them before {sorry you cupcake lovers} and my dad brought these decadent cupcakes up to the mountains. I split the Candy bar Crunch cupcake and I was in Butterfingers heaven. I have never been much of a frosting person-- but this frosting was savory and sweet.

FOUR: HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! To see what I am thankful for go here. This Thanksgiving I woke up to a beautiful view of snow-covered trees, saw the Turkey Skiing, and had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal with my parents. By the end of the day we had gotten a FOOT of fresh powder and more on the way.

FIVE A: Today I woke up and watched Live! with Kelly and Michael, which was a treat since I usually am at work. They wore these hilarious Christmas sweaters on the first part of the show and now I am looking forward to Tacky Christmas Sweater parties. Jack has been wanting this Knitted Crackling Fireplace sweater and I already have TWO new sweaters in my closet. TACKY CHRISTMAS here we come!
