What I loved about my weekend:

Birthday Celebrations along with Kilwins Ice Cream party

Slot car racing…. 2 laps in 47.52 seconds

Watching Top Gun for the 12745^th time #maverick #goose

Big J’s b-day dinner at Herrera Vineyards, the crab cakes were delicious and taking pictures with the “water feature”

new favorite: Pinot Gris

Visiting with friends in Winston & grabbing a bite to eat at Mozelle’s

new haircut

Relaxing and enjoying a little pool time + blue skies

Yes…I do realize that it’s Wednesday, but having a 3 day weekend threw me off, so without further ado… What I loved about my weekend:

Beautiful summertime weather for the entirety of the weekend

Long car rides and listening to music

Traveling all over NC—from Mount Airy to Charlotte to Boone and back

Dinner & ice cream at The Depot

Frugalista || Cinco De Mayo || Taco Bell

Happy Cinco De Mayo!

If you know me, then you know I am a frugalista to the core #owningit. Anything to save a penny here or there I am in no doubt going to do it. Free anything- i'm there. Coupons- all over them. And finding any change: penny, nickel or dime, makes my day just a little brighter! 

In honor of May 5, a.k.a. Cinco de Mayo, all Taco Bell customers are welcomed to a free Biscuit Taco with a choice of bacon or sausage from 7am-11am.

I had never tried Taco Bell breakfast-- but since it was free, I was willing to give it a try. I thought that the line was going to be crazy-- but it ended up that there were only 2 people in line in front of me. I had the sausage biscuit, and it was delicious!

Anybody else have free Taco Bell this morning?!?!


UPDATE: on of my coworkers just let me know that Sonic is having 1/2 priced Drinks/ Slushies ALL DAY in honor of Cinco De Mayo!! ENJOY!

Weekending | 3.29 Alex's Birthday

my weekend... 

This weekend I went to Raleigh to hang out with my family + Jack and to celebrate Alex's 24th birthday {pics are on my parents camera). I had just gotten back earlier in the week (3/24) from my amazing trip to Puerto Rico {will have more on the blog later this week} and I was excited to share about my travels with my family.

NCAA Tournament: I had Duke, like most, in the Final Four, BUT I also had Michigan State... I think I might be the only one who did!!

Watching Alex eat his 1.6 lb T Bone steak Jack and I got him for his birthday #brolovesfood

Weekend | March is HERE!!

What I loved about my weekend… in a nutshell

Sunshine & lots of it—I enjoyed Saturday outside at Freedom Park and spend Sunday with the air off and doors wide open

Bar class –at a new studio opening in Charlotte

Early morning shopping to avoid the crowds

Tickle fights—especially with the kiddos I babysit

Sushi goodness with friends—we may or may not have ordered 7 rolls + an app

Being a kid again playing Mario Kart & Mario Party (and of course Jack won)

Jack and I cooking Sunday dinner together + brownie sundaes

TIME CHANGE- here's to longer sunny days

What I will forget about my weekend—the horrible UNC/Duke game

Weekend | Valentines 2015

This Valentines weekend went by entirely too fast and I cannot believe that it is already MONDAY!! Although it went by quickly I had a relaxing and fun weekend & hoping to see some SNOW tonight!

Chocolate covered strawberries, handmade ear warmer from my BFF, JHG home cooked dinner, Wine:) & Flowers

What my weekend was made of…

Food--- Thai food, home cooked meals, spaghetti, pancakes, Mountain Dew, pistachios & chocolate covered strawberries

Fun--- 40^th SNL show, the dog park, church, giving and receiving presents, flowers, dancing, & French Café music

Friends--- This time of year is especially special for Jack and me. We spent a bunch of the weekend just hanging out the two of us, but also got some good time in with friends

Sleep--- & TONS of it {clearly I needed it after the last few weeks}
